555 Timer Circuits
Two 555-based circuits I designed and built on breadboard — a blinking LED and a light-reactive screaming siren — documented in a full technical report.

For a technical electronics course, I designed and built two circuits around the 555 timer IC, then wrote them up in a full report — schematics, component lists, a pin-by-pin breakdown of the 555, build photos, and demo videos.
The first was a blinking LED using the 555 in astable mode. The second was more fun: a "screaming siren" driving a piezo speaker through a photoresistor, so the sound changed with the light hitting it — brighter light, louder siren.
Getting from a working simulation to a circuit that actually ran on a physical breadboard — chasing down the small wiring mistakes that only show up in real hardware — was the real lesson. My teacher's note on the report: "an excellent effort."
